I have been looking for a backpack that I could use instead of a purse for over a year. This one is pretty close to perfect. I love the leather. I agree with the other reviewers that a top grip handle would be very convenient. If I'm picking it up to just go from house to car I just sling both handles over one shoulder. The only other complaint I have is that I would like to see a key leash so I could hook my keys for easier location. I'll never use it as a cross body because I have back problems and the weight of something hanging on just one side hurts my back. So far I'm happy with my bag. This is my first SAK bag and so far I'm not disappointed.

I never thought I'd live to see a perfect bag. This isn't it, but it's close. I *love* the backpack / shoulder combo concept, but it's not quite there yet. This needs a top handle for a quick pickup and move, and a better manor for switching from backpack to shoulder sack. Can I order extra straps? I'd like to get a few and mess around with them and see if I can come up with a better solution.

I really, really wanted to like this bag. Having a bag that easily converts from backpack to crossbody would be amazing. Unfortunately, this one just doesn't cut it. The straps have a leather piece that is supposed to keep the straps sort of even but after a short amount of time the leather softens to the point that they just slide back and forth, imagine a backpack with uneven straps and you'll know what I'm talking about. Also, the really big disappointment was the front snap. I bought the bag and 3 days later the front snap closure broke, rendering it totally impractical for me, it basically made it into a one compartment bag because the snap kept everything from falling out of the front pocket. Customer service was great and sent me a new bag but low-and-behold, the same thing happened with both the straps and the snap.

This is a very attractive bag with great features...in concept. I gave it a high rating but it didn't work out for me which was very disappointing. It's a great bag if you have light bulky things (e.g. sweater, etc) to carry. It's handy as a shoulder, cross-body, or backpack - that's what really sold me on it. It will even fit a small laptop (my 13" didn't quite fit which I knew when I purchased it but it was off by only about 1"). The leather is beautiful. Here are suggestions to improve on the concept (I'd love to have what this bag is trying to be): 1. Anchor the straps so when one tries to sling it on as a backpack, the straps don't get all caught, making it almost impossible to get settled on the shoulders if the load is somewhat heavy - integrate decorative hooks like the ones on the mini-Pax bag to help with this? 2. Add a grip handle to the top so one doesn't have to awkwardly grasp both straps just to lift it a short distance. 3. Make a slightly larger version to fit a small profile 13" laptop.

This bag is excellent quality and very functional. Prior to purchasing this bag I had been trying to decide between a messenger and backpack style--but decide no more! I now have both! My only issue with it is that it tends to bunch up when worn as a messenger bag which can be slightly annoying, but is definitely outweighed by the overall convenience of the style. One of the magnets fell off my bag so I contacted customer service hoping for some help...And I received a response within 5 minutes of my email. I'm very impressed. This company is great.

I bought this bag and I loved it. The front closure snap broke and I have made several attempts to reach the customer service. I have NEVER received a response. Very unhappy this company and their products, I will not be recommending them.

I am not sure about the other reviews but I absolutely love this bag! It is a perfect transition from backpack to shoulder bag and just the right size. I am 5'7" and do not have any trouble with the length of the straps. I love it!

I am conflicted with this bag. First of all, it's a great size - not too big or small, and has nice pockets and compartments. The papaya color is so cute and I would get lots of compliments on it. The coolest feature of this bag is that it can be a back-pack style, or a purse strap style. But this feature is also the deal-breaker: the rings that adjust and slide the straps into place do not hold the straps securely. This creates an annoying problem as the purse loses its structure and bunches up from the straps slipping. You can adjust it back in place, but a few seconds later it will just fall back into a scrunch. I am short, so this purse hangs to my knees because the straps won't stay secure. I look ridiculous! One other thing, the fabric on the straps pills and can look kind of cheap. I bought this bag at dillards for $120, and it can't be returned since I've had it about 45 days now. I give the bag 5 stars for looks but 0 stars for the strap functionality, which renders my bag useless :(

I purchased this bag for a trip to Europe. I really liked everything about it except for the design of the cross body strap. The rings would not hold the strap in place, therefore it would always slip, and since I am not very tall, the bag would end up at my knees. I felt like I was constantly tugging on the straps to adjust it and it made it very uncomfortable while I was walking around. I had planned on purchasing this in another color, but after this experience, I would not suggest it and will shop around for a different bag.
