I never thought I'd live to see a perfect bag. This isn't it, but it's close. I *love* the backpack / shoulder combo concept, but it's not quite there yet. This needs a top handle for a quick pickup and move, and a better manor for switching from backpack to shoulder sack. Can I order extra straps? I'd like to get a few and mess around with them and see if I can come up with a better solution.

I really, really wanted to like this bag. Having a bag that easily converts from backpack to crossbody would be amazing. Unfortunately, this one just doesn't cut it. The straps have a leather piece that is supposed to keep the straps sort of even but after a short amount of time the leather softens to the point that they just slide back and forth, imagine a backpack with uneven straps and you'll know what I'm talking about. Also, the really big disappointment was the front snap. I bought the bag and 3 days later the front snap closure broke, rendering it totally impractical for me, it basically made it into a one compartment bag because the snap kept everything from falling out of the front pocket. Customer service was great and sent me a new bag but low-and-behold, the same thing happened with both the straps and the snap.

This is a very attractive bag with great features...in concept. I gave it a high rating but it didn't work out for me which was very disappointing. It's a great bag if you have light bulky things (e.g. sweater, etc) to carry. It's handy as a shoulder, cross-body, or backpack - that's what really sold me on it. It will even fit a small laptop (my 13" didn't quite fit which I knew when I purchased it but it was off by only about 1"). The leather is beautiful. Here are suggestions to improve on the concept (I'd love to have what this bag is trying to be): 1. Anchor the straps so when one tries to sling it on as a backpack, the straps don't get all caught, making it almost impossible to get settled on the shoulders if the load is somewhat heavy - integrate decorative hooks like the ones on the mini-Pax bag to help with this? 2. Add a grip handle to the top so one doesn't have to awkwardly grasp both straps just to lift it a short distance. 3. Make a slightly larger version to fit a small profile 13" laptop.
